Hollywood is dominating the box office as the two biggest titles playing are both Hollywood releases which is rarity apart from maybe the pandemic time or when for some reason Hindi and regional films were not in play. Jurassic World Rebirth has opened to 9.25 crore nett which is the best opening day for the franchise if we dont add the paid previews to the first day. 

The last film in 2022 had opened to 8.25 crore nett though had paid previews worth 3.50 crore nett. The weekend total of that film was 36 crore nett including paid previews and Rebirth has a chance to beat that. The first film of the franchise opened to record breaking collections in 1994 but after that its never been the same but all films from the franchise have done well.

F1 is fantastic as it collected 3.25 crore nett on its second Friday taking its total to almost 38 crore nett. The film is super strong in the national chains (PVR Inox, Cinepolis) as 90% of the all India business on day eight comes from these chains driven by IMAX screens.  The way this film is going it will comfortably score a second week of 20 crore nett but as Superman releases it will lose the Imax screens which will hit collections hard but some Imax screens should return a week later for the film to add more good totals. The film is a bonafide HIT and may well finish around 70-75 crore nett. The collections of F1 till date are as follows.
