The Vvaan did well on the first day as it collected around 7.50-7.75 crore nett driven by a market like Bihar which has recorded excellent collections and has opened like 20 crore nett plus film in that circuit. The film had a religious song in the film which was big hit in that area and it has helped collections to a huge extent. Bihar is 4-5 times higher than normal looking at other circuits.

The film has also done very well in West Bengal and also some parts of UP though overall the UP area can be better consideing how huge Bihar is and it should be catching up today. Basically the film has done good or average business in most places except the South where it is a little weaker. There will be some mass pockets which will be playing catch up on Saturday and this can help push the film higher on Saturday though the strong areas are unlikely to show much growth. 

Again its the sentiment and the devotional angle which has really helped the film and give it a good chance to emerge some sort of success at the box office though there is still a long journey for that. Sequels, devotion and scale are the cards in play at the moment with horror close behind.

It again shows that nothing much changes in these Hindi belts as in the early eighties here two films (Aasha, Avatar) scored much higher in Bihar than expectations and a lot was down to the Mata songs in the films and its pretty much the same here again in 2026 with this song which is more local than those as Chhath Puja is more relevant in Bihar.

The film did look a little sub standard in making and VFX but again that key Hindi belt market has overlooked that and given the film a chance to work. The target from here will be to be comfortably in double digits on Sunday and it should happen looking at the circuits doing well.

Avengers Endgame had an excellent opening of around 5-5.25 crore nett which is extraordinary for a repeat run especially for a film from Hollywood in India. When the advances opened it had looked like a 10 crore nett number but that initial burst the advances settled and this 5 crore nett collections look par for the course. The target for the film will be to become the third Hollywood film to reach 400 crore nett after Spiderman - Brand New Day and Avatar - The Way Of Water.
