Dhurandhar has set the box office on fire and this film has been split into two parts with the second part set to release on Eid in March. These decisions were taken a few weeks before release be it to split the film into parts and the release dates but after this insane response this should be looking at a change now.
The response is electric but it needs time for it to reach as much of the audience it can for the best results possible and releasing it in March will be too early. The digital release will probably be in February and to release 4-6 weeks after it is not the best idea. No doubt the film will do fantastic but optimum results will come if the response on digital is left to works it way through for a few months. If this was a film with huge potential on satellite then you would not even release this year and give it even more time but with the film being Adult and violent there are limitations on satellite.
No doubt Eid is a huge holiday period but when a film gets a response like this the the holidays hardly matter as the film can get that 60-70% occupancy on a non holiday as well. At the moment its an Eid date but this is likely to change or SHOULD change as you do not get these opportunities many times to go to unseen level of crazy footfalls so you have to make the best of them.
Now in hindsight whoever made the decision to put this film into two parts was a GOD send while the the person who came up with idea to heavily feed the first day should be a DOG send (sent out). Somebody in the same team had super faith in the film while some one else had little faith or got flustered badly with the initial.
