Param Sundari opened well at the box office giving it a good chance of success if it has the merits. The opening is not huge or anything but the fear is always a low opening day which makes the road ahead very hard which is not the case here. The opening day number will be good enough for the film to go on as it is the type of film for good potential growth over the weekend.

The opening of the film looks to be a little better than Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya a film in a similar zone released over a year back so this can put up a better opening day number than that film and eventually that film did well so if this film follows a similar trajectory it will come out with a good result. 

The film had decent songs and a trailer which has worked with the youth audience and it has the potential to bring the families in over the weekend.  There is a South setting and a certain South flavour in the film also which could be a negative in the long run as usually films from Maddock have that UP or MP setting which gives those a better chance in the Hindi belts. So if the collections come out less in certain hindi belts they will have to compensated from elsewhere. Hindi films hardly have a market in Kerala but maybe this can get some collections from there. 

The film has an no other new release and the holdovers are coming to an end of their runs so that is another plus for the film though there is a flow of releases next week.
