Dhamaal 4 has opened well and should comfortably go into double digits and there is scope of improvement over the day. The opening is very similar to Bhoot Bangla and remains to be seen where the day ends and can it edge past that film. The fact that it is a franchise it probably should be opening better than Bhoot Bangla but if we compare with Total Dhamaal (the last film in the franchise) then this actually looks a smaller film be it cast or scale so that will come into play also. 

The trailer of the film was pretty good though there was no music to back up the film but generally the comedy in the trailer has been good enough to get the public into the the theatres. The franchise has scored very well in Maharashtra and Gujarat till date and it should be the same again but this territory is hard to predict post pandemic as its been heavy Maharashtra centric, agenda films or some of the South fimls which have out perfomed here.

The advances of the film were low which ruffled the industry but advances are dwindling and what was a low number last year is not necessarily that bad today. It will get even worse as the urgency fades barring for those big event films so these advance numbers be it Welcome To the Jungle, Alpha and now Dhamaal 4 may actually look better next year.

Its all about current for majority of the films and when films can go from 3 crore to 250 crore nett and 1 crore to 175 crore nett then getting in double digits allows the film to do the collections it needs if it has merits. Yes a Welcme To The Jungle gets held back a little due its release date but Dhamaal 4 does not face as big an issue as its Hollywood releases in the way which is a different audience though screen space will get hit.
