The Diwali weekend has seen a record weekend as both the releases Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again hit 100 crore nett and a combined weeeknd which will go over 210 crore nett. This is the highest number ever recorded over a Fri - Sun three day weekend in the history of Hindi cinema beating the 190 crore nett which Animal and Sam Bahadur recorded.

Both films have seen a drop on Sunday but that was expected as due to Diwali the Friday and Saturday turned out bigger days. Still both films are comfortably over 30 crore nett as Singham Again records collections around 33 crore nett plus and Bhool Bhuliayaa 3 will be around 32 crore nett. This gives Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 a weekend of 100 crore nett apprx and Singham Again a total of 111 crore nett apprx. 

A 200 crore nett weekend was the target as a minimum between the two films and had to come however it got shared. A Singham Again being the bigger would have hoped to get a larger chunk but as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 gave it a good fight in North, Central and Eastern India that could not happen. 

The weekend is done and now its the harder bit of sustaining over the weekdays and collections will come down from the usual Friday comparison as that was a national holiday and both films got a big boost on Friday and fair value is much lower. There will be help in certain parts which will remain in a holiday period but in most parts it will be a normal Monday. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 holds the edge mainly because it is a smaller film.
