Master saw a drop in collections on Monday which was likely after the extended five day holiday weekend as it collected in the 8-8.50 crore nett range. The numbers are still good considering the excellent weekend. . The total collections of the film are now 108 crore nett as the weekend came in at a little lower than numbers given yesterday.
The toughest battle for the film was going to be in Tamil Nadu as it was hefty price but it will get there despite Monday showing a drop. The end result in Tamil Nadu looks to be collections finishing around 15-20% of Vijay's last film Bigil which is an extraordinary result in the circumstances. It may well finish up among the top five Tamil films in Tamil Nadu in terms of NETT collections though not GROSS.
The worldwide figures are 160 crore GROSS plus in six days and the film is probably looking to be 25% short here from the 288 crore of Bigil but that is because its probably lost $5m over the first five days in Overseas due to markets being shut. Irrespective of where it goes from here its a huge result to be this close to Bigil which is the second highest grossing film in Tamil film industry after 2.0.
The first seven days should see Master at around 115 crore nett plus. The collections of Master in the first six days are as follows.
Wednesday - 35,00,00,000
Thursday - 19,00,00,000
Friday - 15,00,00,000
Saturday - 15,00,00,000
Sunday - 16,00,00,000
Monday - 8,25,00,000
TOTAL - 1,08,25,00,000
