There have been a whole of films that have managed to get a release this week but there is no audience for any of them. It is pre diwali weeks but these films would have opened like this on any other week and a pre diwali release is a token gesture as the makers know that the films will not work as no one releases a potential film knowing that you will be out in the second week when the Diwali releases come.

The films releases are Ghost, Gumnaami, Jacqueline Iam Coming, Junction Varanasi, Laal Kaptaan, Life Mein Time Nahi Hai Kisi Ko, Officer Arjun Singh IPS and P Se Pyaar FSe Farrar. These are the ones to get a release in the big centres and there will be some which started with a small centre release.

The only film that has some awareness is Lal Kaptaan but that film had a disaster trailer which itself was difficult to watch and it was followed by insanely bad units. But awareness means a better release though its opened to empty houses and even show cancellations.

Ghost might be able to register some collections due to genre but that has opened to empty house also though its release is less than Lal Kaptaan especially at the multiplexes. There is a Hollywood release Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil which has been released in Hindi and though its Hindi collections are not going to be much it could still be the best new release of the week.

The collections of the new Hindi films are so bad that even a disaster like The Sky Is Pink is better at many centres on day eight.
