Mirzapur - The Movie has seen a strong hold on Monday as collections look set to be around 15 crore nett. This ensures the film is at least a SUPER HIT film as on worst case scenario its sure to get around 200 crore nett though it could be much more but that will depend on the holds in the coming weeks. The film will be standing at around 105 crore nett plus after the business on Monday

The film is looking at a 40% drop on Monday from Friday but the real hold is much stronger than that as first day got a boost for Janmashtami. In real terms the fall could be around 30%. The film is going for the discounted rates on Tuesday which should give a boost on Tuesday and it should add over 50 crore nett for the weekdays for a first week total of 140 crore nett plus.

It is turning out to be a good year although it may not feel it with so few films being greenlighted but Mirzapur - The Movie is the seventh HIT film of 2026 after Border 2, Dhurandhar 2, Bhoot Bangla, Dhamaal 4, Awaarapan 2 and Hanuman Ansh and there have seen successful films also. There is the sequel / franchise factor at work for Mirzapur as well though its not from cinema but television. The last piece of the jigsaw as to what has happened post pandemic will be some new titles doing well (not the mega budget ones) and then just maybe production can pick up also.
