Mirzapur has taken a superb start all over which is on the lines of Awarapan 2 released a few weeks back and like that film this film can be called a HIT film already. The advances of the film could have done a little better on the last day as the first day is Janmashtami but it should not matter in the overall picture.

The advances finished in the same range as Awarapan 2 but the holiday factor should mean that current runs better than that film and it should come out with a higher first number than that film. Earler in the week the advances suggested the film had a shot at 30 crore nett though now that it looks tougher it can still reach 25 crore nett. Though when a film has momentum on side and a holiday the figures can come out higher than expected in the morning.

The film does not have any actors who hold any box office clout and music is not of the HIT type but just on franchise value it is getting these huge numbers. It is not a cinema franchise but from television (digital) but this opening day makes it a cinema franchise now. The job is done for the film with this opening day as on a worst case scenario the film is a HIT. But now that a opening like this has come you would like the film to go on past the initial days.

The box office is becoming about franchises as its recall value that is getting films initials while new titles are facing a tough ride. The new titles which get a initial have huge budgets which enable those films to get a bigger scale and look for a film but how many films can have a huge budget. At present its about franchises and budgets with stardom taking a backseat and off course there is that devotional side also getting people in.
