Housefull 5 is looking at a good first day collection in the 20-21 crore nett range. It could go a little higher but this much is there for the film which is the second best number of the year and second best for an Akshay Kumar starrer post pandemic after Sooryavanshi. The number maybe should have been better but considering the advances it has done well to get here. 

A film like Fighter last year had advances which were 40-45% better but only got a similar number on the first day so the film has shown some momentun on the day of release in current. The best circuit looks like being Delhi / UP which should pick up a number which maybe around 4.25 crore nett. Both NCR and UP have scored very well. Rajasthan should also be showing good numbers.

In Australia the film has collected a solid $144k and New Zealand is very good $80k and these numbers practically ensure the biggest opening in overseas for an Akshay Kumar starrer with the best Gulf which is still to come. No doubt the film will do well in oversaes from here and be the biggest film of the franchise but eventually its about India and that will be tougher as the initial is not as strong.

The Eid holiday factor should help to an extent on Saturday and push the collections to higher growth than normal as Muslim centers to well. Surprisingly these centers have opened well in places like UP and even the singles should improve further on Saturday and then you have Sunday when they are good anyway. Basically a good start for the film but still a long way to go due to those franchise expectations.
