The Punjabi Film Saunkan Saunkanay 2 has done well at the box office with a good hold on Monday. The drop is almost 50% but it was a holiday in Punjab (political) on day one and 70% of the business is coming from the Punjab state which makes the hold much better than the numbers make it look. The jump on Saturday was also limited due to the holiday as Punjab collections dropped on day two but growth outside the home state was good.

The film is not as big as the first film released in 2022 as that film was a BLOCKBUSTER but this film will emerge a HIT at least and will be a much needed one for the film industry as at last a film sees some good collections. The film also fare well Overseas with almost $800k coming over the first weekend. 

The film could aim for the 20 crore nett figure for domestic business and be among the top ten Punjabi films. The worldwide figures for the weekend were 16.50 crore and the film will have a good run in overseas as well with Australia and UK showing good numbers compared to the first film of the franchise.
