Chhaava 2 stands at over 220 crore nett in Mumbai circuit driven by record business in the state of Maharashtra where it will beat Pushpa 2. Pushpa 2 had grossed 267 crore nett in Mumbai and even though this was a huge benchmark it was pretty much a dream or an original Hindi film to get to 200 crore nett in Mumbai due to the type of content made.

This can be seen by the numbers of the 500 crore nett films out of which only Stree 2 crossed 150 crore nett and that 200 crore nett number still remains a huge task for original Hindi films. Chhaava is a one off as this sort of business in Maharashtra will not happen unless its based on a Maharashtra character and the audience really takes to it. The 150 crore nett mark is still the target for the biggest original films even though this films has gone to another level.  

The film has an outside chance to reach the Pushpa 2 number though that looks a best case scenario for the film. Still it will go over 250 crore nett in the circuit which itself is a crazy number. The film being raw and rural has helped its cause while the local Maharashtra feel has restricted business in many circuits but has taken Maharashtra out of the roof.
