The fighter advances are at a modest level for day one and have actually moved pretty slowly over the last two days that at the moment it may be difficult for the film to hit the 2 lakh tickets sold at national chains which looked the target after the first day of advances.
These national chains are still better compared to others which are even slower as mass pockets struggle. At present a circuit like CI hardly looks like doing 50 lakh while markets like East Punjab and Gujarat seem to be under 2 crore nett though there is the crucial final day of advances to come which can change this. The 30 crore target will be well out of reach if these circuit numbers materialise on day one.
The plus for the film is the advances of day two which are overall on par of day one and even better at many places which means the film is going to get a good to very good advance for day two and this will probably make the overall advance look pretty good. The advance for the film for day one stands at around 3-3.25 crore nett at present and if this number goes to 8 crore nett by Wednesday night it will probably mean a 20 crore nett advance in total.
This means that there is not much urgency with the audience to watch the film though interest is there so here it may have been better to release the film on Friday which would no doubt have got a very good number and momentum from the off for the film. But these things are not known till the units reach the audience.
The problem for day one will be the core Hindi mass circuits as it looks like Mysore will be the out performer at the moment but the hope will be a pick up on the day in the more important areas.
