Animal has kept superb pace in its advances over the first two days and at the moment looks on course for a 4 lakh advance at national chains and possibly the fifth best ever after Bahubali - The Conclusion, Pathaan, Jawan and KGF 2 as far as tickets sold are concerned. The overall advance for the weekend should cross the 30 crore nett mark for the Hindi version.

The advance is dominated by the phenomenal response the film is getting in Nizam / Andhra be it the Hindi version and the Telugu version. The opening day number in this circuit including the regional version is looking to be higher than Mumbai circuit as per the advances though it can change on the day. The director Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be the reason for this extraordinary response in this circuit and obviously has a follwing in the circuit. It is the Hyderbad area (Nizam) which is setting the advances on fire. 

Delhi / NCR is also seeing huge advances and post pandemic this has been the leader for most films. Animal has an extra advantage of Ranbir Kapoor who is as big as any actor in this belt. The advances are lesser in places like Gujarat, Maharashtra and CI but still they are good and shoudl pick up pace closer to release.

The other release Sam Bahadur is also seeing fair advances if you consider the competition against it. The film simply should have been moved to another date as its not a holiday period or anything and on its own the film could have taken a good to decent opening going by the advances it is putting up against the competition of Animal. The advances could have been double and if not at least 70-75% higher on worst case scenario.

The succeses for the industry are very few so this may turn out to be an oppurtunity missed as if it somehow manages to get a little run together the fact will remain it would have been far far better without the competition of a film like Animal.
