Mirzapur - The Movie is ending its run and will finish with business of 223 crore nett plus. Its a huge total for a non cast film and its the fifth highest grossing total for a non cast film after Saiyaara, Hanuman Ansh, The Kashmir Files and Uri - The Surgical Strike. Barring Uri - The Surgical Strike all the other films are post pandemic showing the change in business as it gets less and less star dependent.

The film has shown huge numbers in UP and Bihar with the latter being almost as high as a film like Animal. Drishyam 3 will not reach the collections of Mirzapur - The Movie in Bihar despite being a 360 crore nett plus film across India. On top the film is coming from a banner like Excel Entertainmeent which is known for films like Dil Chahta Hai and Gully Boy which are or were industry favorites but much of the audience would not watch these films and if you tried you would not be able to sit through them.

This is the change that will have to sweep through the industry if its to really get back on track. If you can get this crowd on side which Mirzapur - The Movie has got you will see results but if you cant then its a difficult ride.
