The advances of Ramayana remain in that good to very good level and are looking for that final push and maybe settle at around the 3.50 lakh mark at the national chains if it gets that. They stand at lamost 2.5 lakh till date. This is below what was expected due to hype built around the film by the makers and media and due to this the target was Dhurandhar - The Revenge which was never on even in the wildest of dreams.

This is not because of the film but the timing of release and records are unlikely to be broken released a few days before Diwali. The likely target was always to beat Toxic (Hindi) which is the second biggest opening of this year and that the film can do as advances are much better than Toxic (Hindi) but current will run slower due to pre Diwali and the huge mass appeal of Toxic. So you cant even say that is certain but potentially it can beat Toxic (Hindi)

The advances may not be upto expectations of this huge hype around the film but they will be very good or good at least because those expectations never matching reality. If the advance gets to 30 crore nett by the end of business today it will be an excellent result because of Pre Diwali factor and it has to remembered no film has ever crossed 20 crore nett on the actual day when released a few days before Diwali.

It will that long weekend which keeps the makers on tenterhooks and its four days this time rather than the three but it should all end well by the time Monday comes and the audiences come back to the theatres and if this audience gives the thumbs up there will be no stopping the film.

The release in the South for the Hindi version will also affect the film as the advances in Hyderabad and Bangalore should be much higher and they would have been if the film got allotted the shows it deserved. Instead these shows have gone to regional versions which they will start swapping from day two or maybe on day one itself.
