Border 2 has ended with best advance of 2025/26 with collections of around 10 crore nett with a national chain contribution which will around 4.25 crore nett plus with 1.45 lakh tickets. These have performed a little less especially PVR and are probably 25 lakh less than what you would expected on Tuesday but the final day has run up very well selling over 90k tickets.

The national chains are very similar to War2 but that film was more of an attraction for these chains and collections outside these chains are far better than Border 2 and all circuits outside South India look pretty certain to collect more than that film. There is also Chhaava which on paper had a better advance than Border 2 but there were adds and if you take them out then Border 2 is better. 

There will be a comparison with Gadar2 which got an advance of 14 crore nett compared to the10 crore nett apprx here but Gadar is a hugely under estimated film in the industry and is one of the greatest films ever made in the country with appeal going deep into the country where few have gone and on top a rare film and passing the test of time. But this is an industry which has grown up with the likes of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and there is nothing wrong with that but the impact of a film like Gadar will be taken lightly.  

It is only because of Gadar 2 that Border 2 is expected to do better but there is a difference in IP in terms of initial and craze but if Border 2 has the merits then it can easily go the Gadar 2 way because first day collections wont be that far off and it can catch up in no time. The advance puts Border 2 in a great position and if the public take to it then there will be no stopping this film for weeks.
