The new releases 120 Bahadur and Mastiii have taken poor starts with the latter being a bit better in the morning shows due to collections to collections outside the metros. De De Pyaar De 2 is not too far behind and this film is likely to see the most improvement in the evening being a holdover so it will be competing the new releases.

120 Bahadur is a war action film based on a war against China. There was a similar film made in 1965 named Haqeeqat and despite being a well made film for that time it did not do that well initially but eventually worked in repeats due to the presence of Dharmendra and a blockbuster song. This film has no star and no song which makes it pretty much impossible for the as the budget is too high for the face value. 

The China war in 1962 was a lost war and that is the reason why Haqeeqat (1965) did not work as the subject did not appeal and it will be a similar story here. The public does not want a story on a lost war especially when nationalistic fervor across the world is an all time time high.

Mastiii 4 is another sequel with the fourth installment of the Masti series but the last installment took a beating so this opening is no surprise and on top the cast or music is not there to support. Despite the last Masti film not doing well it was not the end of the road but there had to be better units which could have changed things but it was not to be.

Mastiii 4 is a low budget film so it did not need much of an opening and even 4-5 crore nett would have been a result but its not going to get ethere. Now it will be about to beat the bigger film 120 Bahadur and its ahead in most places apart from some of the bigger multiplexes but lets see if that remains same through the day.
