War 2 (Hindi) had a poor second weekend of 17.50 crore nett which has now taken the collections of the film to 166 crore nett. The drop could have been more in the second weekend due to the rejection but as there was no new release and the only real competition was Mahavatar Narsimha it remained the top film at the box office for the weekend.

The film managed to do well on Saturday as it almost doubled the Friday collections but then Sunday was a bit lacklustre. The weekdays will probably see a struggle apart from the discounted Tuesday. The Hollywood type of Mission Impossible and James Bond type of cinema is seeing diminishing returns as the Hindi speaking circuits are preferring something closer to home with the raw and rustic cinema. It may be diminishing returns but War 2 staying this low is pretty much unthinkable before release.

The last 4-5 months have seen a good run at the box office but the sad part is that its the two big films Sikandar and War 2 have gone wrong. The similarities are that both are star driven and today films need more than that. War 2 also had the added advantage of a sequel but that hardly seems to have come into play looking at the initial collections of the film.  The box office collections of War 2 (hindi) till date are as follows.

Coolie in Hindi stands at around 27 crore nett after its second weekend while the all India collections of the film are around 242-243 crore nett. the business in Tamil Nadu is around 108 crore nett till date.
