The box office has seen many clashes post pandemic when they should not really be happening due to many free weeks throughout the year due to lack of films and when these clashes happen the results tend to be negative.

The only clash which has come out well is the August 2023 clash when Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues and OMG 2 both scored very well and at a ceratain level there was Animal and Sam Bahadur in December 2023. The similarity of this Diwali clash with Gadar 2 and OMG 2 is that it is sequels here also. The franchise value of these films will not be of Gadar level but both films have stronger franchises than OMG 2.  

Irrespective of being sequels and good recall value the clashes should not really be happenning as with so few releases the potential of a solo 4 week run is probably more than a festive clash. The major clashes and results post pandemic are as follows. Generally it has been seen NO ONE has won in a clash with films being duds and even if there are winners then most of the time the other films coming alongside are duds.
