Bad Newz had a solid first day as it collected around the 8.25 crore nett range driven by the business in Delhi NCR and East Punjab circuits which can be called very good. The opening day in East Punjab is like a double digit opener as the song Tauba Tauba would have worked most here and there is the Ammy Virk factor who is a star in Punjab and this has added to the film in the North.. Also the feel of the film has probably contributed to better collections in NCR and Punjab.

The collections outside NCR and East Punjab were decent as bigger centres did well while others could not really collect well. The performance in mass markets is on the lower side with many circuits with lower numbers than Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.

The fun factor and the music has really pushed the film and Vicky Kaushal is on a good wicket at present with films like Zara Hatke Zara BAchke and San Bahudar and this should be another addition to the list though we will have to wait till Monday to really see where this film will go.

The film looks like doing well in The Delhi / UP and East Punjab circuits and if the bigger centres in Mumbai circuit can also come around and dod a little better over the next week or so then its pretty much ceratin to do well in the long run. If not then it will remain about where the business in NCR and East Punjab can take the film. Places like Gujarat, East and Central are unlikely to support due to the subject of the film not being for a conservative audienceand also teh treatment of the film sort of alienates this audience.
