Yodha has a had a slow start at the box office with low collections. The problem is pretty much same as most films that there is not much reach for the film as its limited to urban centres but still it should have opened to better numbers than it has. 

This is the fear today as when you know a film is unlikely to open in mass centres the numbers can come in much lower than the expectations which is what has happened with Yodha here. It is the unpredictability of the urban crowd as to which film they are going to come for and which film they may watch at home later. 

Yodha is relying on this urban crowd but it has not come on the opening day. There is a more ready crowd outside urban centres where audience habits have not changed as much but that crowd will be far less interested in a film like this. The zone of the film is such that it needed music if it was to reach out to the mass centres which maybe would not fit into the narrative but only music can give a film like this some reach. 

The film is in that thriller genre which can do better in the evening but even that can only push collectiosna  certain amount.. Its about huge growth on Saturday which must be followed through on Sunday if the film is to have any chances of survival.

There was also another release Bastar which is from the team of blockbuster film The Kerala Story but it could not really register much of a opening. It was promoted from the makers of The Kerala Story but the theme of this film would not hold the interest that The Kerala Story held which pretty blantantly showed the negative side of a certain community in the trailer itself
