Cocktail 2 has take a good opening though the figure may be propelled to a higher total than it should bet. The advances were uneven and look boosted when the advances started by a little amount which is no big deal but the last day also got an extra push than they should have but allowing for this the advances were still good.

Basically the film has taken a good start organically but with the film also being pushed its about waiting for the dust settle and its hard to say when that will happen it could be the first day only or weekend or first week or even longer. Eventually the film will have to stand on its feet to succeed without the support.

The plusses for the film are the music with a couple of songs working well and a top heroine which is a must for the genre. The minus point seems to the content seems very western which will limit the business especially in the Hindi belts. The opening in the likes of Rajasthan is good but that can be some cinemas here would have been pushed higher. 

The first Cocktail released in 2012 had also opened well due to the music and Deepika Padukone but eventually the film faded fast due to the content but that initial was enough for the film to emerge a HIT. Its the same case here but it will be harder to emerge a HIT as it needs a higher number to start with. Its difficult to say where the film will end up today as you dont know how far the collections will be manufactured  but the hope is thats its not too much and let the film play out.
