Salaar finished its all India on 404 crore nett final total with an overseas total of $15.25 million (126 crore). The GROSS in India is around 486 crore giving the film a final worldwide gross of 612 crore apprx which is the highest for a South Indian film in 2023 edging past the 605 crore of Jailer which had the advantage of Tamil films being bigger in the overseas market.

Salaar is the fifth highest grossing film from the South after the two Bahubali filsm, RRR and KGF 2 in India while worldwide it is sixth as 2.0 has a higher worldwide total. The Hindi version collected around $2.50 million overseas giving it a worldwide total of 226 crore which is pretty good.  The Hindi version of the film is a HIT on collections but there were a lot of torn tickets. This was not done for perception or to make the film look bigger than it was to the media like it was done for some outright Hindi  films.

Here the Hindi digital was not sold pre release as the makers probably confident of a big number in Hindi. But this did not come and a certain number was needed to fetch a price for Hindi digital so the collections were bolstered but still it did not work out as the makers had to settle for a discounted digital price. This film was a tough one to report as suddenly in mid release the collections saw a jump and a change in trend.  It was not reported at the time as the commentary would have to change but on collections shown the film is a HIT in Hindi

Obviously the collectons can be taken out for a lower verdict but then that has to be done with the other outright Hindi films but basically you have to go with the collections out there.
