Fighter will do business around the 27 crore nett mark on Sunday which is limited growth of around 5% and this did look likely after Saturday as mass circuits saw drops and came back down to low levels. The problem for Sunday becomes that the business is dependent on these circuits as the big centres dont collect well in evening and night shows.
The four day weekend of the film have fair collections with around 114-115 crore nett but with a big film like this the mass support is a must and there must be a healthy Sunday jump. It is the consolidation on Sunday which defines the bigger film but that has not come here with Fighter.
The Sunday business doesmake it much tougher for the weekdays and it remains to be seen where the film goes The industry could have done with a big one here with the first big release of the year but now it will be about at least getting decent numbers in the long run.
There is however is better news from overseas where the film has done well and could even emerge a HIT driven by excellent collections in US / Canada where it will collect aroudn $4.5 million over the first four days. The film showed huge jumps on Saturday and Sunday in US / Canada and has also done well in other circuits but US / Canada is a level above. The four day weekend will be closing at $6.75 million without Gulf which is very good. The film will probably release later on this week in UAE as its expected to get cleared by the censors on Monday.
