Pathaan will now become the highest NETT grosser ever in Hindi as it shows a superb hold on fifth Friday with collections higher than teh thursday at many places. The film collected in the 1-1.10 crore nett range. There was a drop in collections last week due to the new releases but now the road is clear as there is no new release next week and the it will play through the Holi period and it is not coming out of cinemas for some time yet. 

The close of the film is looking 510-515 crore nett and actually there was no issue with Bahubali - The Conclusion holding top spot as it is the best film made in the last twenty years or so but a lot has changed with this pandemic. The has been a lot of negativity for the Hindi film industry with this boycott thing and the media from the South has tried to add fuel to the fire from a different angle as how the Telugu industry is biggest in India.

Much can be written about this but simply put you can only become as big when your languaage has the reach of Hindi language. You need the Hindi speaking audience to become the biggest industry and while a film or here or there can reach out being dubbed the majority will get no audience especialy the regular so called South mass. The funny thing is that the pie of Hindi films (despite disasters everywhere) and Hollywood has got bigger in Nizam / Andhra post pandemic as compared to other places and it may even be the case with other language films which logically is probably down to the week in week out local content being in a poor way much like Hindi. Pathaan (Hindi) will be on top of the pil e in a few weeks time after around six years an original Hindi film will be back where it belongs for the time being.  The collections of Pathaan (Hindi) till date are as follows.
