Samrat Prithviraj had a decent second as it grossed around the 12.50 crore nett mark for a two day total of 23 crore nett plus. The growth for the film could have been better but it a high ratio of business be it multiplexes or single screens coming from areas that dont grow much on Saturday. These areas like UP, Rajasthan etc were the ones which had a better first day also so remained flat on the second day.
The two day business of the film is very similar to Gangubai Kathiawadi with collections being a little better though the trend is a little weaker as it has a far higher ratio of business coming from the Hindi circuits. The Sunday comes crucial for the film as it will need better growth on Sunday. There is a good chance of that as the Hindi belts that did well on day one can fire again on Sunday.
It the film can shoot up 30% plus on Sunday then it will get a 40 crore nett weekend which would be pretty good especially considering where the film was standing on Friday morning when even 30 crore nett looked a dream. The 30% on growth on Sunday is a big ask but it is possible for films driven by mass centres.
