Honsla Rakh has recorded this highest opening day collections in Delhi city post the pandemic beating far bigger films like Bell Bottom, No Time To Die, Fast & Furious 9 and Shang Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings.
The 50 lakh number for Honsla Rakh in Delhi city is simply insane for a Punjabi film. It is pretty unbelievable for a Punjabi film because its not as if the other films are unknown types and all have released in the pandemic time so all faced similar issues. Bell Bottom may not have had night shows but it was not going the cover the shortfall with Honsla Rakh even if it did get night shows. Roohi it would have probably beaten to be second.
Bell Bottom had a star like Akshay Kumar while the other three were Hollywood franchises, Bond, Fast and Marvel respectively and this Punjabi film has easily surpassed these films in the capital. Also the collections in Delhi city are pretty much like for like as all these films released on practically the same cinemas. The top ten collecting films in Delhi city (not including NCR satellite towns) on opening day post the pandemic are as follows.
1. Honsla Rakh - 51,00,000 (Punjabi)
