Honsla Rakh has taken the biggest opening for a Punjabi film post the pandemic by a distance. The collections in East Punjab are the third highest ever and when all India collections come it in could be the highest ever opening for a Punjabi film.

The opening in East Punjab would have been the highest ever if there were no restrictions in place as this cost the film in the evening as shows were easily going houseful with the lower capacity. The allowed occupancy is going to 66% from today which will help especially on Sunday.

Honsla Rakh saw three cinemas going over 5 lakh nett on the first day. This is a first in the pandemic post the pandemic for cinemas in the Hindi markets. The cinemas were Cinepolis Ludhiana, PVR Mohali and PVR Elante. the top collections in East Punjab on day one post the pandemic are as follows.

2. Chal Mera Putt 3 - 1,15,00,000

3. Qismat 2 - 93,00,000

4. Chal Mera Putt 2 - 90,00,000

5. Moosa Jatt - 59,00,000

6. Bell Bottom - 46,00,000
