Thailavii had a poor week collecting around 6.75 crore nett in week one. The film had bulk of the business coming from South as the Hindi version collected only 1.50 crore nett. The film fared best in the Chennai area but even there collections were down on the weekdays.
Shang Chi did pretty well in week two collecting 6.50 crore nett which is a 58% drop from the first week. It has collected 22 crore nett in two weeks which is a decent number considering the situation though the business from Hindi circuits remains low.
Fast & Furious 9 had a low second week collecting 2.75 crore nett which takes its total to 14.25 crore nett. The film could not collect well in English as some of that potential audience would have seen a pirated version. A early August release for this film would have meant higher numbers than Shang Chi. It could have reached 30 crore nett with an early release before the pirated version penetrated the market. It has better collections than Shang Chi in Gujarat and many other cities where only dubbed versions of both films are playing.
The Telugu Seetimaarr had fair collections of 11.50 crore nett but this was mainly becasue of the opening day of 4 crore nett. The film could not sustain post the opening day and weekday collections were hardly anything. The Telugu industry being frontloaded did well in the first quarter post the first lockdown and it should be the same after the second lockdown but internal issues with ticket pricing will have to be sorted out first.
