Dream Girl and Chhichhore continue to dominate the box office as the new releases open to very dull numbers. Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, Prassnatham and The Zoya Factor all opened to the 5-10% occupancy. Both The holdover films Dream Girl and Chhichhore will have better collect better than the new releases.
Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas sees the entry of the grandson of Dharmendra and the son of Sunny Deol but the product from the trailer was not really befitting such a legacy. It had a hit song to help it but visually the song did not appeal so it was hardly going to help the film.
Prassnatham is a Sanjay Dutt starrer which looks a film mainly for single screens and is a remake of aSouth film but today to get this audience the film has to offer bigger cinema like a Saaho or something.
There is not much to say about The Zoya Factor. Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Prassnatham would probably have gone wrong in implementation if they dont work but this film should not have been even thought about being made in the first place. The name itself spells disaster as it means nothing to much of the audience. The film could have some decent collections in Kerala as the hero has some face value there but that too cant last long.
The Punjabi film Nikka Zaildaar 3 took a pretty good start and has opened far better than the Hindi releases and could even beat the numbers of the hindi releases with just a 350 odd screen release.
