2.0 grossed a huge 229 crore nett across India over its first four days. In the first four days the film has become the highest grossing film in Tamil cinema history as it beat the 205 crore nett of Endhiran (2010). In terms of GROSS figures it is way ahead of Endhiran as the tax rate works out to be more today for Tamil films. It is only the second film from Tamil cinema to cross 200 crore nett and Endhiran was the first part 2.0 which is Robot for the Hindi film industry.
The GROSS collections of the film are 291 crore in India and will be the first film from Tamil cinema to have a GROSS of over 300 crore in India. Coincidentally the same combo of Rajnikant and S. Shankar hold other benchmarks as Sivaji in 2007 was the first to cross 100 GROSS in India and Endhiran (2010) crossed 200 GROSS and now this film 2.0 will cross 300 crore and also 400 crore and maybe even 500 and 600 crore.
The first three day NETT collections 2.0 across India are as follows. The figures are slightly lower than earlier publsihed as the GROSS numbers were taken in Mysore

Overseas the film has collected around $13 million as per reported numbers but there will be FH halls across US and UK which is the case for these huge South films so the actual collections will be higher than $13 million.
It gives the film a worldwide number of around 380 crore plus in four days. This is the third film from Tamil cinema to cross 300 crore wordwide after Endhiran (320 crore) and Kabali (305 crore). It will be the first film to go over 400 crore in Tamil cinema with the potential for many more benchmarks.
