Thugs Of Hindostan has had a drop in collections on its second day and will collect in the 32-34 crore nett range. The huge opening day was expected and post the release the drop was also expected due to the reports. The drop is looking in the 35% region though parts of the country especially mass belts have held better due to post Diwali.

Despite the drop the film has still collected well as its coming from a high level. Ideally the drop should have been around 20-25% but  its not as if the film has crashed out on day two. It will be a healthy number on day two and it is now about consolidating at these levels over the weekend. The struggle will happen if it keeps on going down over the next two days. If the film can hold over the next two days it will take the film to a huge extended weekend and then it becomes about weekday levels.

The first two day business will be in the 82-84 crore nett range and it remains to be seen how much the next two days can add. The second day will see the best business coming from Delhi / UP, Gujarat and Bihar. The biggest drops are in the South with Mysore going down around 40%. The obituary of the film has already been written by the media but with 82 crore nett plus in two days the collections are very good till now and no film has ever collected this much over the first two days.
