Gold added 1.25 crore nett on Monday to take its total to 98.50 crore nett. Its a decent hold from Friday but collections are slowing down now and looks set for a second week total of around 13.50 crore nett.

Gold will cross the business of films like Raid and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety to become the sixth highest grosser of the year and overall its a decent fare as makers have made money while India was on commission so the all India distributor will also be in the black. There will be losses in Overseas as it was an acquisition there but the main thing is that it should have done more business in India and held on better.

Satyameva Jayate grossed 1 crore nett on its second Monday with mass centres holding up strongly when compared with Friday collections.

Satyameva Jayate will finish in the 80 crore nett range and a share in the 40 crore range which is a big result for the film especially consiering that it clashed with Gold which was a bigger film. The clash has worked out well for the film as it managed to get a big first day audience which was a huge surprise. It was not a surprise that it managed to collect on the national holiday but how much it collected was surprise for sure.
