The Eid blockbuster of 2016 is running riot on television as it raked up an unbelievable rating on its fifth major showing since release. The first screening was the best of films last year but a bit underwhelming as compared to films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan but in repeats it has put up huge ratings.
It has been seen lately over the last few years that premieres on Sony don't get get the numbers but they perform well on repeat. Dhoom 3 and PK were a similar case. The impressions for Sultan its five major viewings on weeeknds and in evening are as follows..
Premiere - 1,13,10,000
Second - 60,85,000
Third - 55,66,000
Fourth - 48,64,000
Fifth - 98,02,000
TOTAL - 3,76,27,000
Just to put into perspective the rating of Sultan in its fifth showing is higher than all releases of last year expect Sultan itself. Dangal has not had a screening on television yet.
