The Punjabi film industry which had a very good summer had been in the doldrums over the last 6 months has finally seen a film with decent collections. The winter season is normally dull for Punjabi films and even a biggie like Bhaji In Problem could not put up good numbers.

Mr and Mrs 420 had the best opening of 2014 for Punjabi films and then had a solid trend over the weekend and Monday. Holi helped on monday but overall collections are good. The film opened to 30 lakhs nett which was bit better than the previous best opener of 2014 Ishq Brandy and the trend was much better than that film.
