Mirzapur - The Movie is seeing very good advances which are similar to Awarapan 2 released a few weeks back. Awarapan 2 managed to get a 20 crore nett plus opening and this film will also have a chance to do that. It is Janmashtami on Friday so that should also help the cause of the film in current.

The film does not have any stars or any HIT song but there is recall value from the popular web series Mirzapur which will be attracting the audience. Its basically a bit similar to the sequel factor but just here the initial product was not a feature film. The film is aimed at the mass youth in the Hindi speaking belts and today its this area which determines box office. If its onside then the chances are good. The results of Awarapan 2 and the initial of Toxic is down to this crowd, Even Hanuman Ansh is best in these pockets though that will probably be a different audience.

The film sold around 10k tickets at the national chains on the first day of advance and this should be enable the film to get to 1 lakhs before release. Awarapan 2 was 1.18 lakh so this can be similar but this depends on the momentum on the last day as thats when the bulk of advances come.

No doubt it will be another good Friday and that will mean practically 3 back to back initials with Awarapan 2, Toxic and Mirzapur - The Movie showing the audience will come to the theatre week in week out as long its something they are interested in. The paying power is still there despite ticket rates going up and up over the last few years.
