As mentioned yesterday a box office research firm has got very desperate as they are probably losing subscribers due to the industry spreading their numbers and generally the numbers being way off for the past twoyears and below are some more examples of the fiasco numbers.

This is the just the tip of the iceberg as the list is endless with RRR, Brahmastra, Ram Setu, Thank God, Drishyam 2, Bhediya. Cirkus, Pathaan, Shehzada, Selfiee, Tu Jhoothi Main Maakaar, Bholaa, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and many others. In fact its easy to name the films which were correct or nearly correct and the last year or so they would be Rocky Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, OMG2, Dream Girl, Fukrey 3 and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Its about a 20% success ratio as far as the main releases go for a paid service which this company believes is piracy if the numbers are shared around. In lay terms its one out of five correct and that is being kind. The industry has not been getting things right post pandemic but one thing which was right was making this a free service by sharing and as a free service it does no harm as long as you dont take it seriously.

Even this week its the same fraud as Crew was 4 crore on teaser and went to 5 crore as the advances opened and obviously the figure will go higher as advances point to a higher number but now it hardly matters where the number goes as industry knows its not 4 crore for sure. Its basically about making a fool of producers and exhibitors and expecting them to pay for it. Below are more examples of so called tracking over the last 6 months of 2023.
