Fighter took the 11th best opening post pandemic and is the third best for Hrithik Roshan which makes better reading but that is basically because Hrithik Roshan has so few releases and there is a major gap between the initial of War and the other films. Bang Bang is second best at around 24 crore nett. All three War, Bang bang and Figher have the same actor / director combo.  

The opening is the lowest among the bigger action films if you discount dubbed RRR which really started to work from Sunday in a big way and these films need to start better as are not going to sustain like some other genres can. The benefit is the big holiday which will give it that upward trend but that is not coming from the film but an exterior factor.

Also although we take it as action film its about pilot fights which will give the film a more western feel which can alienate the mass audiences and due to the western feel of the characters the desh bhakti also does not connect. This may have been the reason why mass centres have collected low numbers. . The top opening day numbers post pandemic are as follows.
