Pathaan (hindi) recorded a record breaking 160 crore nett over its first three days smashing KGF 2 by a huge 20 crore nett and the best original Hindi film Sanju by 40 crore nett. The film has simply taken the box office to a new level.

The film was always expected to do well and bring hope to the film industry but what is done is beyond all expectations and bought more than hope as it can be seen the Hindi film industry can excel hugely in the future with the right films. The weekend records have fallen across the board and will continue to do for some time. The industry has not seen such a BLOCKBUSTER for sometime as the bigger grossers came from South but Pathaan should change that.

Surprisingly it is the only Shahrukh Khan film in the top ten weekend grossers but that will also change now as the superstar works in films more often were superstardom meets genre rather than just depending on superstardom. The top ten opening weekends for films in Hindi language are as follows.
