Pathaan is setting up insane records and the numbers pretty much tell the story. The collections of the film at the national chains (PVR, Inox, Cinepolis) are just 5 crore nett behind War and 7.50 crore nett behind KGF 2 for the first day before a show has actually started.

Both these films are the only ones in history to hit 50 crore nett and for Pathaan to be not so far away in advance it means it is almost certain to cross the figures of these two films in these big multiplex chains.

Its difficult to predict the pace of movement tomorrow but if these numbers go to 25 crore nett it is something which would be unthinkable by the programmers that film outside a big holiday and with the present situation at the box office could get to that level.

Pathaan will also become the first film in history in Hindi cinema to release on 5000 screens in Hindi with the film almost there now and with the final count as it releases it would have crossed the 5000 mark. These 5000 plus screens will on 2400 plus sites and there are a further 400 plus sites showing the Tamil and Telugu version on 450 screens which means a release of 5500 screens in total.
