Brahmastra became the ninth film to record a 100 crore nett first weekend as it collected 104 crore nett plus in the first weekend. The 100 crore figure is the benchmark for a great weekend and its the second time its happened post the pandemic after KGF - Chapter 2.
This benchmark should actually have been higher now but box office results post the pandemic are a setback at the moment and a 100 crore nett weekend still remains a huge feat though the first time it was done was way back in 2016 with Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Brahmastra is the second Ranbir Kapoor film to hit a 100 crore nett after Sanju and is now the second actor to have more than one hundred crore film for the first weekend. Salman Khan leads the race with four films. The top ten first weekends for Hindi films are as follows.
