The Telugu film Bheemla Nayak scored a huge first day as it collected around 37 crore nett across India with 32.25 crore nett alone coming from Nizam / Andhra. If we compare with Pushpa - The Rise then that film did 30.50 crore nett in Nizam / Andhra though that film grossed much more outside Nizam / Andhra.
Vakeel Saab another Pawan Kalyan film released in April 2021 grossed a similar number to Bheemla Nayak with 35 crore nett apprx but the holds on that film were not too good and hopefully this film holds bettert. The film has done extraordinary business in Nizam side with 15.50 crore nett while Andhra collected 16.75 crore nett.
There are issues with ticket pricing in Andhra which were seen with Pushpa - The Rise also and it is being said the state got even stricter with this film and were were ready to punish theatres who tried to release the film with higher ticket prices than the state governmnet allowed.
Still the film has managed one of the biggest openings ever in Nizam / Andhra with possibly just 3-4 films ahead of it but the key is decent holds as a film has to have more than star power. The film is the best opener in Nizam / Andhra post the pandemic.
The other south film Valimai has shown a big drop on day two in Tamil Nadu and it will have to settle over the weekend otherwise the collections will be very low by the weekdays.
