Annaatthe collected an excellent 82 crore nett across india driven by record business in Tamil Nadu. Outside Tamil Nadu the film has not done well and usually Ranikant films get very good numbers especially in Andhra and Karnataka. This time the film may have a more local feel than the others.

The business in Tamil Nadu is the highest ever aided by the Diwali period. The weekdays will still need some decent holds for the film as its fetched a high price for the home circuit and does need to get close to 100 crore nett for recovery.  There are not many films in Tamil Nadu which reach the 100 crore nett mark and the target is probably Master which reached 107 crore nett in January. That film was released at a time when Tamil Nadu was only allowed 50% occupancy and while the bigger cinemas in major centres adhered to these rules many did not.  

Annaatthe has scored well in Overseas as well with business likely to be in the $4-5 million range. The worldwide gross numbers should be in the region of 125-130 crore which is more than Sooryavanshi but its a 4 day weekend here against a 3 day weekend. if we compare 3 days then its less than Sooryavanshi.
