Bell Bottom collected 18.75 crore nett in its extended eight day first week as collections came down post Raksha Bandhan on Tuesday. The weekend business was low but in realty it was always going be tough to meet the industry expectations of 4 crore or 5 crore and even more due to the occupancy cap and various other restrictions in different cities.

It still managed to put up respectable numbers in some cities with the standout being across Gujarat / Saurashtra on Sunday. Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot etc were all fantastic with many houseful boards going up.. The disappointment is actually not the weekend but what happened in the weekdays because opening well is an external problem due to the market restrictions at present but sustaining well is not held back by these external problems.

The film had chances of holding well but it could not as the biggest contributors like Delhi, Punjab and Gujarat dropped. These places were not going to be top performers in a normal situation and the film needed a Mumbai City and Pune where it may have been liked more.
