Mumbai Saga will record first day business in the 2-2.50 crore nett as night curfews and restrictions hit business. The film is sure to get over 2 crore nett and if these night curfews were not there it would also go over 2.50 crore nett but now that is probably the top end of the range.
The film has been hit across Maharashtra due to restrictions but places which do not have restrictions have also seen the best occupancy rates for the film. The circuits which could have better numbers in relative terms may be Nizam / Andhra and West Bengal. Bihar could be a also be better than what has been seen before but that depends on how many cinemas have opened up for this film.
The number is low but some green shoots can be if a few circuits can get above the Roohi circuit numbers which would mean post covid19 highs. The scenario is more difficult than last week and over the weekend it will get harder as some cities go into weekend lockdowns with cinemas shut. The film could have also recorded much better numbers if it was not Maharashtra being hit so badly by covid19 but its bad luck for the film that it had to release when the pandemic is worst in Maharashtra.
