Malang has had a steady first week as it collected 38 crore nett in its first week. The collections are a little on the lower side but the film made up some ground over over the weekdays and Thursday at 3 crore nett was a good finish to the week. 

 

 

The test is going to be the second weekend as despite the holds over the weekdays there is always doubt about the second week especially when the film faces competition. If second Friday will get advantage of Valentines Day and it has to get as near as possible to the Thursday number. Shikara is a DISASTER as it just catupalted over the weekdays. These type of films are about weekday collections and this film does not have them. A actuon / thriller liek Malang is doing 45% of its opening day business on Thursday and this type of film which is supposed to grow is doing just 26% of the opening day on Thursday.
