Saaho (Hindi) has had a strong advance with its pre release numbers looking to cross the 10 crore nett mark. This is the advance collections only in the Hindi version. The advance also opened on Tuesday evening so it will be doing it in just two and a half days if it gets there. This advance is coming with a limited release in the South as the regional language versions will dominate there. Only Marathawada will have collections from South markets. Marathawada is not actually South but it comes into the Nizam / Andhra circuit for Hindi films.

The film is basically a Telugu which has some portions in Hindi but is primarily a dubbed film for the Hindi audience so these advance numbers are huge. The film has Prabhas of Bahubali fame in the lead and despite the huge success of those films the star status is Hindi markets is not there especially in the Northern markets. Mumbai and CPCI there would be more value as these markets are more receptive of South stars. There is Shraddha Kapoor who gives some familarity for the hindi audience but that is hardly enough for such an advance.

The film simply looks huge and an outright action film and with the Hindi audience basically starved of these sort of films has led to Saaho holding huge initial appeal across the country. The worry is always Delhi / UP, East Punjab and Rajasthan for the South films as barring the Bahubali films and 2.0 not much has succeeded here. Years back films like Hindustan and Humse Hai Muqabla did well but nowhere as much in Mumbai. KGF which did very well in Mumbai was a damp squib in the North. There are no such problems with Saaho which could beat the numbers of 2.0 (Hindi) in North going by adavance and when a South film is going to collect in North it means a big number as the Mumbai / Gujarat belt will naturally do well.

The advance of Saaho (Hindi) is looking to surpass the advance figures of Kabir Singh and although there will be 10-12% of the market msissing for the Hindi version the release will be bigger as action gives it a wider reach. It will mean the third highest advance behind Bharat and Mission Mangal but but those films had a holiday and blockbuster ticket pricing while Saaho (Hindi) does not have that (though the Telugu version does) and is not a holiday release also.

If we look across India then it is looking to record the second biggest opening ever after Bahubali - The Conclusion. The advances are huge in its home market of Nizam / Andhra and Karnataka is also huge while Tamil Nadu is lacklustre and will be the low point for the film.
