Kesari had a drop of around 50% on Monday which is a normal drop. The collections held up well in the North and other mass markets like Rajasthan, Bihar and CI but places in Mumbai and South saw a drop around 55%. But this could always happen as the film performed well in these markets over the weekend for a Punjab based film where the main character is a sardaar.
The four day total is over 86 crore nett and the film should be looking at around 104-105 crore nett over its extended week which will be a good number and then it will be about that Thursday to Friday hold. The first seven day figure could also come out to be the highest of the year. The film will mainly be driven by Delhi / UP and East Punjab from now and these can do very good in the second weekend as the film settles at a level.
The film has benefited from the extended Holi weekend as it has put good numbers in places where it could have lackluster if it did not have the holiday factor. The business of Kesari till date is as follows.
